The ratio of 14 children to one teacher is not accurate. There are usually about 21 kids in each classroom, with some classrooms having more. Over 95% of the teachers that we have encountered have been excellent. Very engaged with the students and very caring. I am not impressed with the principle, Dr. Bell. She has taken away a lot of the "fun" things at the school (6th grade camping trip being one of them). She seems to be more of a figure head than an interactive part of the children's daily learning. However, I love how the school is set up to move every child forward. Small group settings with like learners keeps all children learning and engaged. Smart boards and other technology keep children moving forward, whether you are an average student, gifted student or student needing additional support, this school does everything to meet each student's needs. One drawback to note is the lack of air conditioning in this building and in one other elementary school, East Coventry Elementary. Overall very happy with the education my children are receiving at this school!

The teachers are good, but the administration is terrible. Communication is zero. If you get news from the school, it's at least two days past the date of the subject. Even if you call, you will not get an answer most times.

The school has many great, caring teachers. Our experience has been completely positive. These folks get how important their roles are in our kids' lives. They are kind and competent. My two sons have really enjoyed attending there. We've enjoyed being a part of the 'Vincent community.' The school does enforce stupid rules which are meant to develop responsibility at the expense of the aids and principal being irresponsible. Two examples: a. Forget your lunch while being rushed out of your room - too bad, you will not eat (school policy). b. Forget your jacket on your way outside to recess - too bad, even despite outside temperatures as low as 35F (school policy until I threatened to take to the school board). The school has no air conditioning. This is despite the building being one floor with a flat roof. With all of the money collected in taxes, I am shocked that this school has not been upgraded. The only other complaint is the office staff and teacher aids are almost universally rude. Maybe they take their cues from the principal, but they have mastered it.

I just love this school. Not only do the teachers care about academics but they really care about the children's well being.
